💡 Key tip: Water cucumbers regularly and evenly; drought or irregular watering makes the fruit bitter. Pick the fruit often (every 2-3 days) while it is small, firm and bright green; leaving large/yellowing fruit on the plant stops new fruit forming.
🤝 Companion logic: It goes very well with pea, bean, corn and radish; nasturtium and marigold repel pests, while garlic suppresses powdery mildew and keeps insects away. Potato, sage (and other aromatic herbs) and fennel should be kept away from it — fennel is allelopathic.
