🤝 Companion logic: Planted beneath the rose and around fruit trees as a cool-season underplanting/ground cover; it draws early pollinators and adds edible flowers. Yarrow nearby invites beneficial insects (ladybird, hoverfly). IMPORTANT CORRECTION: the pansy is NOT an aphid TRAP — on the contrary it is a host SUSCEPTIBLE to aphids (aphids damage it by sucking the leaves); for a true aphid trap use nasturtium.
