💡 Key tip: Peppers are sensitive to temperature: avoid setting out seedlings when nights drop below 10°C, as growth stalls in cold soil.
🤝 Companion logic: It is compatible with basil, carrot and the allium group (onion, garlic, chives, leek); these drive off aphids. Watercress (nasturtium) is a good trap plant that lures aphids away from peppers. Tomato and eggplant enjoy the same climate, but all three are nightshades and share the same diseases and pests; they can be planted together, but leave 40-50 cm between them, watch air circulation, and don't plant them in the same spot year after year. Don't plant fennel (allelopathic; releases phenols), potato or brassicas nearby (potato carries shared nightshade diseases/pests; brassicas compete for nitrogen).
